Your study permit consists of an expiry date that tells you when you have to stop studying and leave Canada. If you are planning to take up another course after finishing your initial program , you must apply for Study Permit Extension. The application must be submitted at least 30 days before your current study permit expires, if you want to keep studying in Canada.
